Measure dog neck: Which measurements actually matter for collar size

A dog's neck circumference is measured at the planned wear position with the tape lying flat against the coat, no allowance added. This raw value suffices for standard buckle collars; martingale and slip-style systems additionally require head circumference, and critical narrow-head profiles also need the measurement behind the ears. Barklin scale: XS 18–26 cm to XXXL 80–120 cm.
